नौकुचियाताल उत्तराखंड के नैनीताल ज़िले में स्थित एक अद्भुत, रहस्यमयी और आकर्षक झील है, जो समुद्र तल से लगभग 1,220 मीटर की ऊँचाई पर और लगभग 40 मीटर गहराई के साथ नैनीताल की सबसे गहरी झीलों में गिनी जाती है। इसका नाम इसके नौ कोनों (कुचिया) से पड़ा है, और इन्हीं नौ कोनों के कारण इसे “नौकुचियाताल” कहा जाता है। पौराणिक मान्यताओं के अनुसार इस झील का निर्माण स्वयं भगवान ब्रह्मा ने किया था और यहाँ एक प्राचीन ब्रह्मा मंदिर भी मौजूद है, जहाँ हर वर्ष श्रद्धालु पूजा-अर्चना करते हैं। कहा जाता है कि यदि कोई व्यक्ति झील के सभी नौ कोनों को एक साथ देख ले तो उसे मोक्ष की प्राप्ति होती है, हालांकि इसकी गहराई और रहस्यमयी संरचना के कारण यह संभव नहीं हो पाता। प्राचीन काल में यह क्षेत्र ऋषि-मुनियों की तपोभूमि रहा है और माना जाता है कि झील के गहरे हिस्सों में देवताओं और नागों का वास है। इतिहास के अनुसार, ब्रिटिश शासनकाल से पहले यह इलाका घने जंगलों और जंगली जानवरों से घिरा हुआ था, लेकिन अंग्रेज़ों के समय से यहाँ पर्यटन को बढ़ावा मिला और आसपास के गाँवों का धीरे-धीरे विकास हुआ। वर्तमान में नौकुचियाताल न केवल अपनी प्राकृतिक सुंदरता के लिए प्रसिद्ध है, बल्कि यह साहसिक गतिविधियों जैसे नौका विहार, पैराग्लाइडिंग और मछली पालन के लिए भी जाना जाता है। हर साल यहाँ सांस्कृतिक और धार्मिक महोत्सव आयोजित किए जाते हैं, जिनमें स्थानीय कला, संस्कृति और लोककथाओं का प्रदर्शन होता है।

कसार देवी मंदिर उत्तराखंड के अल्मोड़ा ज़िले में स्थित है और इसका निर्माण 2वीं शताब्दी (ईसा पूर्व/गुप्तकाल) के समय का माना जाता है। यह मंदिर देवी दुर्गा के “कसार देवी” रूप को समर्पित है। यहाँ की खासियत यह है कि मंदिर एक पहाड़ी की चोटी पर बसा है, जहाँ से हिमालय की ऊँची चोटियाँ और अल्मोड़ा घाटी का अद्भुत दृश्य दिखाई देता है। कसार देवी मंदिर की आध्यात्मिक महत्ता इतनी गहरी है कि इसे “हिप्पी हिल” और “हिप्पी ट्रेल” का हिस्सा माना गया। 1960–70 के दशक में यहाँ कई विदेशी साधक और योगी ध्यान के लिए आए, जिनमें प्रसिद्ध हिप्पी संस्कृति के लोग भी शामिल थे। स्वामी विवेकानंद ने 1890 के दशक में इस स्थान पर ध्यान लगाया था और उन्होंने यहाँ की ऊर्जा को बहुत खास बताया। वैज्ञानिक दृष्टि से भी यह स्थान महत्वपूर्ण है क्योंकि यह वैन एलन बेल्ट (Van Allen Belt) के अंतर्गत आता है, जहाँ पृथ्वी का चुंबकीय क्षेत्र अत्यधिक प्रभावशाली होता है। माना जाता है कि इसी कारण यहाँ ध्यान और साधना करने से गहरी आध्यात्मिक अनुभूति होती है। कसार देवी मंदिर का परिसर दो भागों में बंटा है – एक मुख्य कसार देवी मंदिर और दूसरा भगवान शिव व अन्य देवी-देवताओं के छोटे मंदिर। यहाँ हर साल कार्तिक पूर्णिमा पर “कसार देवी मेला” आयोजित होता है, जिसमें स्थानीय लोग और पर्यटक बड़ी संख्या में शामिल होते हैं। 👉 संक्षेप में, कसार देवी मंदिर केवल एक धार्मिक स्थल ही नहीं बल्कि आध्यात्मिक ऊर्जा, ऐतिहासिक महत्ता और प्राकृतिक सौंदर्य से भरपूर जगह है, जिसने भारतीय संतों से लेकर विदेशी साधकों तक सभी को आकर्षित किया है।
